Your journey on making a change to your gas connection
These are the procedures we will follow to connect you. We'll keep in contact to make sure everything is going well and you're satisfied, so don't worry.
How much will it cost and how long will it take?
Altering your gas connection for your house or small business will start at £1,000 (plus VAT at the applicable rate). It typically takes six to eight weeks from the time of payment to the completion of the work. We will always give you the earliest date that is available, and we will notify you if there are any local traffic management or highway restrictions in your area, as this could lengthen the lead time before we begin work.
Arranging a gas meter installation
After you accept the quote, we will give you a Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) for your property. When scheduling the installation of your gas meter with your preferred energy provider, you will need this MPRN.
