Lee Cotton, Wales & West Utilities Operational Manager for Plymouth said:

"We were alerted to reports of a smell of gas at the City Council Offices in Plymouth yesterday (08 January) and immediately sent an engineer to the scene.

"On arrival, we found a gas leak beneath Armada Way and began work to repair it.

“Our engineers worked into the evening and have now repaired the leak. There was no interruption to gas supplies and all roads remained open.

"We appreciate the patience of local people while we’ve been working. It was important that we fixed this leak now to keep the gas flowing to homes and businesses in the area.”
