Wales & West Utilities has scooped the top award for it’s ‘Outstanding Contribution by an Employer to Workplace Health and Wellbeing’ in the Society of Occupational Medicine Occupational Health Awards 2024.

The gas emergency and pipeline service for Wales and the south west of England was announced the winner of the award at the ceremony which was held in the Melia Manchester Hotel on Thursday (12 December).

The awards, which were launched in in 2019 to celebrate the work of occupational health professionals across the public and private sectors, showcasing occupational health and demonstrating its value to organisations and the wider community.

In winning the award Wales & West Utilities was praised for embedding health, safety and wellbeing in its culture and taking important steps to help colleagues thrive.

Bethan Jones, Head of People and Engagement at Wales & West Utilities, said:
