Wales & West Utilities has started work to upgrade gas pipes in the East Road area of Tylorstown.
The work is essential to ensure the gas is kept flowing safely to heat and power local homes and businesses, keeping people safe and warm for generations to come.
In planning the work, the gas emergency and pipeline service has liaised with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, and it has been agreed that traffic lights will be in place on East Road, between the junctions of Prospect Place and Oaklands Business Park. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time. Barring any engineering difficulties, the work will be complete in September.
