What to expect from our Graduate apprenticeship
Based at our head office in Newport, our two-year Graduate Development Programme includes formal training and mentoring from experienced colleagues and managers and focuses on the achievement of Chartered status and is accredited by the following (depending on which programme you complete):
- The Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers
- The Institute of Mechanical Engineers
- Full Membership and Chartered Environmentalist (MIEMA CEnv)

We have recruited Graduates into our Engineering, Net Zero & Sustainability Departments.
The first year of the programme will be spent in placements in our head office and with our operational teams. This is followed by a year of developing your specific career skills and managerial skills in an office-based environment, working on relevant projects.

How much do you get paid?
We offer a starting salary of circa £32,000. You will receive incremental pay increases through the programme with a qualifying salary circa £38,000.
We also offer Flexible Benefits and a Retirement Savings Plan (pension) with Aviva: 5% employee contribution, with WWU doubling your contribution at 10% - totalling 15%.
