What we’re looking for?
We're looking for gas engineers to play a big part in keeping the communities we serve safe.
We’ll trust you to:
- Play a key role in the gas emergency service responding to gas leaks and emergencies reported by members of the public
- Install, maintain, replace and remove gas meters

You’ll need to have:
- Have a full valid driving licence
- Be willing to participate in a 24/7 call-out rota
- Have the energy to work in all weather conditions
- Be able to work well as part of a team
- Have a keen sense of pride in delivering great customer service
We’ll also help you develop the skills you need to make a difference in our team.
We’ll train you on:
- Nationally accredited gas safe registrations for domestic and non-domestic services
- Fire control and First Aid Awareness
- Equipment to avoid underground apparatus
- Emergency procedures & repair techniques
- Streetworks
You’ll be supported and mentored by a qualified engineer and complete a portfolio alongside this to evidence your progression and development through the Programme.
