What we’re looking for?

We’re looking for a Net Zero Project Manager to support in the delivery of the Net Zero strategy within WWU. The role will progress and lead emerging industrial decarbonisation projects, providing support to the Net Zero Portfolio Manager and in turn the Hydrogen Transformation Manager.

This role will require project development from conceptual stages through to delivery, building on existing work. It will also require attendance at external forums, close liaison with multiple stakeholders, the production of timely updates, internal and external communication, and project management/support of technical aspects of various projects.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Develop and submit applications to funding streams from Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and Welsh Government
  • Manage and deliver gas transportation and storage work packages within projects and various areas of the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio
  • Engage and manage key partners within existing industrial clusters such as Hydrogen South West to deliver WWU’s strategic aims
  • Support the Net Zero Portfolio Manager – Industrial Clusters to influence and progress the development of hydrogen infrastructure for WWU’s industrial customers across Wales and the South West of England
  • Reporting of project progress and dissemination of key findings both internally and externally

You’ll need to have:

  • Project Management experience essential
  • Technical & engineering focus essential
  • Experience of liaising with multiple stakeholders and representing an organisation externally
  • Experience of working with government departments desirable
  • Energy transportation experience desirable
  • Full clean UK driving licence desirable
  • APM or PRINCE2 desirable
