Residents in Gaerwen who want to be connected to the mains gas network are being urged to come forward and make contact with Wales & West Utilities.
The company is urging local people to register their interest before 7 April 2017, so the company can assess if the extension of the gas network to the area is viable.
Nigel Winnan, Connections Manager for Wales & West Utilities, said:
“By connecting households to the mains gas network, residents can save hundreds of pounds on their household bills each year.
“Due to the way we’re funded, to start planning to extend the gas network we have to make sure that a high proportion of the local community is interested in connecting – so we’d urge people to make contact. We’ll be able to let them know the benefits of connecting to the mains gas network – as well as the ways we could help them meet the cost of the new connections.”
